The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services on the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering companies which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency mentioned it is alarmed in regards to the large range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention from the Integrated Registration Outreach status sassa Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some superior range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no thoroughly functional office focused on service the area every day. website The assistance position created for intervention encounters a higher influx of opportunity beneficiaries, which makes it hard with the office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional resources to allow the servicing of all clients and enhance access to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
